How we test
Every lot is screened by a third-party laboratory before it is packed. The report for the lot you receive is linked from its product page.
What is measured
Lead, cadmium, arsenic and mercury. These four are the reason the programme exists: turmeric and cacao are among the commodities most prone to heavy-metal contamination, turmeric through adulteration and cacao through uptake from soil. A supplier's own paperwork is not a substitute for testing the lot you bought.
Who does it
An accredited third-party laboratory, not us. A test you run on yourself and publish yourself is a marketing claim, not a result.
Where to find a report
Each product page carries the lot code and a link to that lot's certificate. When a product shows no certificate, the lot has not been released yet — the link appears when the report does.
